for those of you that missed the first part....here is the link

http://www.e46toronto.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=707

so i woke up nice and early thismorning (10am :^o: ) and called up sam to see what i should do about my car....he recomends a good tow company they use, ABC Towing, and says he will definatly get my car back to me today....i call up abc and they quote me $40 flat fee, plus $2.25/km....i live 40 some odd KM from cross....so that was gonna cost me...need to find another plan...

i dig through the glove box and find my road side service card and see that it doesnt expire until nov 05'!!! so i call em up and arrange a tow from my house to Budds in Oakville...hehe nice and close to cross

when i arrive to budds i had a truck from abc waiting for me and they took me over to cross....didnt cost me much as sam just put it on his house account...hehe

Phil drops absolutly everything he was doing and comes out to the parking lot and takes a look at my car...diagnosis is a new waterpump (shot bearings), new thermostat housing and thermostat, new main drive belt and AC belt, and replacement fluids....

4 hours later i was back out on the road and the car is running great!! i cant say enough good things about cross ave and the work they do....on my way home i stoped off at budds for a quote for all the work i just had done at cross...i wont tell you what the quote was...or what i paid...but i will tell you i saved more than $700 by going to cross over Budds....so happy....thanks again sam, phil and cross ave!!!

As I have mentioned to Alun..These guys are tried & tested. They are absolutely the best when it comes to our BMWs.

Props to Cross and Phil. I was hoping it was just the waterpump and belts, etc. I had that happen to me a while back and for the next month, I kept wondering if I fried my head gasket for driving while it was overheated for a minute.

Good thinking Alun about the towing to BMW and then tow to Cross. I wonder what the dealership thought about seeing that? :D :D

Seems like I should get a CAA too! I always thought CAA is for those dumb ass that still drive American Cow! And beside my bimmer, I never use the roadside assistance for any of my other cars, but I already call the roadside assistance 3 times this year. The worst one is on Jan when I bring my 18mth old son to see the doctor and the bimmer just dead on the intersection with outside temp of -30 degree and my son is sitting in the car and very sick!

CAA is waiving the $15 admin fee....so I paid $97 and change for 1 year membership which also includes travel insurance.....
