For track use, I've seen recommendation to overfill the oil by half a liter.
Due to:
These engines suffer from oil starvation on high speed turns due to the semi-dry sump design (full dry-sumps do not suffer from this problem).
I've never heard of this before... has anyone else???

I wouldn't do it.

If you were experiencing oil starvation in turns your red engine light would light up immediately because your oil pressure would completely drop off.
Overfilling a crankcase can be more damaging than running it a little low.

Thanks guys.....
I was surprized when I saw this recommendation;
I always thought the reason for the semi-dry sump in the first place
was to keep a more positive oil flow & prevent an oil starvation issue.

FWIW...
Found this service bulletin on the S54.
Interesting that it warns against overfilling & possible damage.
