Yeah...that's why I'll really have to go with an in-floor setup.

Chris,
Install a system just under the bar. There are some nice systems out the with the bar in use also.
Try and make a system which includes a spare tire in the setup if you do ever need it....

The spare is uselss anyways cause it's a 16" style 45 conti. I'm on 17". So it's just weight in the car i don't need. And I only have 4 17" with no spare rim.
Besides, that's what CAA & BMW Assistance is for. Why get your hands dirty when you pay someone to get their hands dirty. Others may think otherwise. I didn't buy this car to change my own friggin spare.
in-floor setup, with the ski-sock removed so the trunk will breathe more is my idea now. Let's see what Ken Hifi says...

Yeh get rid of the spare.
The 40+lbs of weight can be offset with the audio equipment.
I say go JL Audio. I used to compete with their subs and I give them
I've been reading good things about the W7's

yeah JL is nice. But i have my audio already. 2 Cerwin Vegas HED-100 10" subs (2), Alpine V12 MRV-T707amp, Audio Control 2xs series II crossover.
It'll make me happy. i won't send more on Audio that's for sure. Rather do perf. mods than audio.

I forgot you had all that equipment :)
You need a DVD player for the dash though

Thought about the DVD but no... i don't live in my car nor do I want to. I think it would take away the classiness and just make it bling. I don't like bling. I like classy mods. No extra superfluous stuff like monitors and PS2 and Xboxes. I'm sure it'd be fun on long drive, but before I do that, I'll rent a ride instead.

You have to cut the carpet and also the rubber insulation to expose the shock mount. Removing the turnk liner was a PITA.

Ok. Thanks Quickid. I guess I'll be going to Cross then. I don't have patience for PITA's.

it's not fun though, if something gets messed up then I have to get a replacement.

Chris, I've removed the trunk liners soooo many times on the coupes. The sedans shouldn't be that much different. Do you have folding rear seats?

Don't get me wrong, all I meant is it requires some patience pulling it out and lining it up afterwards. You won't mess anything up.
Installing the rear bar doesn't warrant a trip to Cross Avenue Auto.

Oh ok then. I thought it might be some serious thing. Cool. Save gas. Thanks Quickid. I'll give it a shot as soon as I get my car back from the body shop.
