Here's Deiselgrl's ride at Premier as it got Zaino'd today. Premier Auto Detailing doesn't offer Zaino yet but will next year.
How many coat of Zaino you apply? did you use ZFX? how the shine compare to other wax?

Only 1 of Z2 & Z5. I'm not a Zaino expert. Plus I did't let it cure for the suggested time. Only about half hour.
I did use ZFX. 1 ounce of Z2 and a couple drops of ZFX as per instructions. The shine is nice.
Again, no war here between waxes/polymers, Zaino is nice, but still don't find it nowhere as deep as Pinnacle, plus if I have to add on more coats, to bring out more lustre, well i may as well Pinnacle with one coat.
Z5 smells like banana liquer. i felt like drinking it.

Chris, when I get back into town in Dec, can you do a coat of Z2, Z5 and an interior detail on my car??? I have all the Zaino products, but its hard to do it yourself in winter because of the temperature requirements for waxes. Can't find a nice heated garage or I would do it myself.

we can coax Jessica to bring her M3 too, lol, sorry Eric.
Actually, I have read that you can apply a wax on top of Zaino for the deep look of the wax and the long lasting protection of Zaino.

Yup, this is true, but you have to make sure you have no wax left before you apply another coat of Zaino to it, so adding multiple coats can be tricky then.

I'm still interested to try layering Pinnacle over Zaino or vice versa and see what happens. Audiophilia says it can't cause it's polymer vs. wax. It won't stick. I'll try in Spring.
I have layered before. It works very well with Pinnacle. I'll do Pinnacle Paste Souveran Wax, cure period of choice is 8hours...then layer Pinnacle Liquid Souveran on top. The jet black is liks black liquid. Pinnacle works great on blacks/blues/reds cuase of the depth.

Chris, The Zaino guy (Dennis) gave me a bottle of "new" formula Z2 on Sunday which has a "deeper" shine. It addresses the issue of depth which I asked him about before.
I put on 2 coats of Z5 last night to hide the scratches from an empty box that fell on my car. Pretty much unless you stand right up close (like if you were to re-clay bar it distance) and stare at it, you can't see it. My Z5 is 2 years old and the formula was changed last year to have better hiding properties. The one you have is the newer one.
I will be applying the new Z2 tonight, and I'll let you know how it goes.
I'm using my old Z2 for my rims now.

There is a "NEW" Z2 ?????
Gotta check the Zanio boards again....
Chris, I want to go Pinnacle next year :D
Since I TRY not do drive in the rain, I don't need the long lasting properties of Zanio. I want the depth of Pinnacle even if I have to wax once a month.

I knew you would see the brighter light my friend. And you are exactly right seeing as you don't take it out all the time, Pinnacle would be more feasible.

Good luck, that stuff lasts a long time. I'm still trying to finish my old Z5 (which I bought 2 years ago). And applying thicker does not give you better results, but I try to put at least 2 layers of Z5 per application.
We'll do a test and see if there is any real difference. It could just be "marketing" mumbo jumbo.

I was just kidding about the price of Zanio :}: :}: :}:
There is some high-end waxes that come in wood boxes. I think 1000+ USD  Zymol or some Maguires stuff.
(Anthony, high-end wax  )

Or even a respray if needed so you really have that "new car look". :)
$1,000 for wax? I guess you better be driving an Enzo or something else like that and it better come with detailers to put it on for you!!

And that $1000 for wax is probably like 2 ounces too....no way... wax is wax. Wax on wax off. It all eventually comess off anyways.
Kinda like spending $500 bucks on food. In the end, it all comes out the same arsehole.
it's all marketing. They'll prdocue a highend wax, make their comapny seem really high end so consumers will think it's the best, but it's all the same really, all products have pros & cons, but none are the best.
i can tell you which waxes I use and which to use what to buy, I'll even apply it and it woudlnt cost $1,000. Well...
