Well

today I called BMW Toronto and asked them about AUX input device on

my car and they told me they can't do anything..

so I went to the mall and looked for aftermarket AUX input device..

they told me they don't know.. and they asked me to buy one of

FM transmitter. Sounds so cool so I bought one and played in my car.

WTF.. can't get the signal..oh finally i got it.. WTF it keeps make noise

when I drive.. like frequency is like radio 2 seconds and my music 3 seconds

and go back to radio...

I packed everything and will refund all tomorrow.

Costs me $10 parking + $49.99 for the transmitter +
$10 two-outlet DC adapter.

is all FM transmitter like this???
should I try ipod FM transmitter (from apple)??

AUX input device cost me $240 installed from local aftermarket seller.

no hope for FM transmitter I guess!!

its cause its hard to fine-tune a fm station that is free in toronto....i currently use 102.7 and its ok...sometimes theres some background noise, but other than that, its pretty good....some older gen ipod fm transmitters have the ability to go all the way down to like 87 and 88....these are good cause no one transmits on these frequencies

I personally can't satnd FM transmitters. a couple of years back I bought 5 different brands and all of them were not good. either to hard to tune or the sound quality was distorted.

I have the Belkin FM Transmitter, I use 88.7 and seems to work fine for me. Finding an empty frequency is tough in Toronto. What might help is to have the transmitter close to the antennae. In the case of my BMW, like most others, too, I suppose, is integrated into the rear window.

yea, another thing with FM transmitters is that they get staticy when you are next to a bus or near a bus stop or anything else for that matter that has UHF or other radio bandwidths...even in tunnels so if you drive through a lotta tunnels or next to a lotta bus's, then dont go this route :}:
