Calabogie April 30th

Hi Everyone,

We are all getting ready for the Pej organized Shannonville event so I thought I'd start a post for my Calabogie Event on April 30th. For those of you who haven't been there you're in for a rush. I'd like to give the e46toronto club a discount for the day. The regular price is $330 + tax. For the club it will $300 all in. Details are below:

Where: Calabogie Motorsports Park
Layout: Full Circuit
When: April 30th 9am - 5pm (driver's meeting at 8:45am)
Cost: $300 including BBQ lunch
Flaggers and Ambulance/Tow onsite.

This is a open lapping day with two run-groups, Advanced Driver & Super-Solo, alternating 25 min sessions. A few instructors will be on-site always willing to coach. This event is for advanced drivers only, so no track newbies. Once you do Pej's Shannonville event you should be ok to run. The track is a lot to take in for a first timer. People who have attended our events know we are a very laid back social group that like to have fun safely. There is always designating passing areas with zero-tolerance for erratic drivers. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if we feel you are posing a threat to the safety of yourself & others.

probably not that early in the season. it's a nice resort area with lots to do (beach, golf, hiking) and I would rather go when it is hot and sunny.

Slke46, you'll be able to run this track once you do a couple of shannonville dates. Pej's will be your first and I also have a Shannonville date on Saturday May 26th if you can make it. I think i'm instructing you on April 19th so we'll talk more then.

don't worry about modding, you can hit any track.
Amit is a good driver, so you are in good hands. I think if you can do 2 events before June 4th, you will be fine.
We are lapping, not racing, so its all in good fun.

don't even worry about trying to go fast the first time at Calabogie. It will take you one day just to remember the turns and which way they go. (lots of blind apexes and corners)
