Just had my car egged tonight. Was at a friends for dinner betw 7:00pm and 11:30pm and when I got back the whole driver side door and mirror was cover in egg and egg shell. Other cars on the street were egged too.
Car was parked on the street in the Churchill Meadows area (Mulligan Crescent) in Mississauga. Seems to have been kids and was probably halloween inspired.
Spend the last 30 min washing the drivers side door and window as soon as I got home and it seems to be all off. Probably wash the whole car down again tomorrow. Tried to get as much of th egg from th gap betw the window and door though don't know if I'll still have problems if it seeped in.
Oh well, guess it could've been worse.. at least it wasn't keyed!
Be careful tomorrow evening guys. Make sure you car is garaged or if not, not on a road/driveway that would be an easy target for trick or treaters! Mine's gonna be in by 5pm.

imagine as a punishment, if kids got caught egging, we egged them back.

Well it's worse than I thought last night. There are permanent concentric scratch marks (through the clear coat and into the paint) where they smashed the egg. Looks like they smashed the egg and then ground it into the paint for the egg shell to cut into the paint  . It was done just to the right of the door handle so the egg would flow between the gap into the door panel.
Washed the car down again completely this morning and also ran a clay bar over the area. The scratches will have to be touched up somehow. Oh well, at least the scratches are not very obvious unless you look for them.

Check around your negihbourhood to see if someone else got egged and maybe someone saw something.

Vince, i'm not sure if claying will do much at this point. Maybe only for residue that didn't come off from the wash. Clay will remove whatever is above the surface but not something that dips in into the surface like a scratch.
I suggest to use compound then poilish. Caution with compound.

Thanks for the sugestions Chris, yeah I didn't think the clay bar would do much, just wanted to make sure I'd gotten rid off any "EGG" residue.
Might just lightly use a compound anf then polish it... and then do a more thorough job in spring as I have a few other scratches/stone chips I've been meaning to take care of.
DO you know if ther is any local distributor of a product called LANGKA (http://www.langka.com/) ? Supposed to be great with filling in scratches.

Never heard of it. You don't want to fill in scratches, you want to even out the surface... Try 3m rubbing compound. NAPA/UAP sells it.

They ship to Canada. Anyhow, it doesn't work all that great. I have it. If you want to try it, I can loan it to you.
No blob, but you can still see where the chip was.

Thanks for the info and the offer Reg. Looks like I'll take our experts (Chris) suggestion and try rubbing it down first. May take you up on your offer in Spring to test it on one spot to see how it works before I decide to order it.

PHUCK! MY CAR GOT EGGED TONIGHT!
At Scarborough Town Centre. DAMMIT!!!!
Only clean car in the whole damn parking lot....
Impact was on the roof C-pillar though, so no scratches, phucking made a mess on the passenger side/trunk though....luckily I just Zaino'd the paint and fabric protected the roof.

Luckily nobody else came.... :crying: :crying:

I think they target BMW's for extra "Special" treatment  .
Wash your cars well ASAP. Did a power wash and scrub down yesterday even though it was drizzling.. neighbours must've thought I was nuts :)
I had 3 coats of Zaino on, so while the paint surface appears to have been strong enough for the egg protein, it ain't strong enough for eggshell :-)

Kids just have no respect these days. They do it just for fun but wait till they grow up or have it done to their own property
