I found it odd. I didn't study all the adrenoreceptors so I got annoyed when she tested us in such detail.. but yeah.. my only concern was with one question. There seemed to be two right answers: "Ach and NO are the two primary parasympathetic neurotransmitters" and "Parasympathetic efferents project to ganglian cells embedded in target tissues (ie. SA node of the heart or enteric system of the gut)".. I chose the first one.. but I was so close to changing it to the second.
I thought the first test was better but we'll see how it goes..

I dunno man... I struggled on the "Which is CORRECT" Qs.. I often had to guess b/w 2 answers I had in mind.. it was depressing
I'd say the first test was easier.
Same.. I didn't get why so many people around me were saying that it was easy..and that the average was going to be high..

Well see. Don't get your hopes down, hopefully you'll do good.
But there were alot of probable answers (which were right but not quite). I might have also screwed them up .
But everyone comes out of the test with high hopes and jolly ol smiles and when the marks come in then -->
That always happens with me. I came out of the first test with high hopes and ended up with a terrible mark.
Yep.. this is not looking too good..

i did the same thing.... i went from the second one to the first one though.... cuz i wasn't sure.... like the word "primary" killed me... i wasn't sure whether to think of ACh as the PRIMARY neurotransmitters but the ones that are used are ACh and NO for parasympathetic...

I think that both of them are right. I chose the last one as well...just because I didn't have an "E" for a long time
Anyways...I really thought that this test was too detailed. I did fairly well on the first test, but only because there was less info to study. I think that it was kind of unfair of them to expect us to memorize all the tiny details about everything (including neuro) for this test. A lot of the things that they were asking about were more biochem and molecular bio questions than physiology questions (i.e. the different types of adrenergic receptors....). Besides, as I recall the course coordinator told us that we would not have to just cramp mindlessly (which I did nonetheless), but actually understand things. Very few of the questions were based on understanding. All in all, I think that this test was like one of my bio250 tests, only with more material to study and a lot of the lectures poorly organized and poorly presented. The only prof that really deserved to give us super hard questions was Dr.Kee (his teaching was simply amazing).

same... those Q's were BS. I got the same for the water balance question too , although i was kinda worried about the presence of the word "continuously" in the answer...

okay good the reaction so far is not good. Lets just hope all the biomers get high marks and the rest of the class drops the average.
This way the Dr.Martino will have to make Test 3 and 4 really easy

test 3 and 4 will be much easier...
its notorious through the years that the second half of psl302 is much easier than the first half
then again, dont be surprised if the final avg of this class is in the C's.
especially when this course is supposed to be the hardest course in our program

That sounds good. I am also starting to love the renal material and the prof. Both are great!

Just as a heads up, we might not want to talk about the exact details of this test probably because they wont change it for the makeup exam.
