Yellowing headlights

this isn't a BMW related question specifically but can someone tell me the best way to remove yellowing from headlights? Is there a magic compound or method to get that gunk off and make them look brand new again?

Bill let me know when you're free and i can pop by on a wednesday evening as I leave toronto heading back to KW. I'll bring polish and a light compound with me. That'll work for sure.
